The World’s Largest RV Owners Organization THE GOOD SAM CLUB Dale VonSteen IDAHO STATE DIRECTOR 195 E Carmel Drive Meridian ID 83646 (208) 898-9293 djvsteen@juno.com IDAHO GOOD SAM NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2008 FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK It has been our honor to serve the Idaho Good Sam Organization as your State Directors for the past four years. We have enjoyed serving you and we want to THANK YOU for your support. We have had the privilege to meet a lot of very nice people and we have made some lasting friendships which is a small part of what Good Sams is all about. Like everything else, “all good things come to an end” and our term is about to end. It is now time to turn the Idaho Good Sam Organization over to new leadership. We are pleased to be able to turn the leadership over to our new State Directors, Gordon and Susan Harris. We are asking everyone in the Organization to give them your full support as they lead us for the next two years and beyond. This will be my last newsletter, so please send all news items to Gordon. Again THANK YOU for your support and for allowing us to serve you. Joan and Dale THANK YOU FROM THE SQUAW BUTTE RAMBLERS The Emmett Squaw Butte Ramblers would like to send out a heart felt THANK YOU to each and every one of the Good Samers who came to eat at our food booth at the New Plymouth Fall Roundup. We really appreciate you. FOUND 1. At one of the recent Good Sam functions (Emmett Spring Fling, New Plymouth Fall Roundup or the Southern Idaho Campout in Emmett) a place setting (knife, fork and spoon) for two was found. The settings are black handled stainless steel. Any one who attended one of these functions and lost the described settings, please give Boots Otto a call (208-343-5349) or cell (208-863-8291). She wants to get the settings back to the rightful owners. 2. One aluminum pan lid approximately 10 inch. Looks like a good one. This was found after the Southern Idaho Campout in Emmett. It happen in a fancy restaurant A man is dining at a fancy restaurant and there is a gorgeous redhead sitting it the next table. He has been checking her out since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk to her. Suddenly, she sneezes and her glass eye comes flying out of its socket toward the man. He reflexively reaches out, grabs it out of the air, and hands it back. ‘Oh my, I am so sorry’ the woman says as she pops her eye back in place. ‘Let me buy your dinner to make it up to you,’ she says. They enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and afterwards they go to the theatre followed by drinks. They talk, they laugh, she shares her deepest dreams and he shares his. She listens. After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a night cap and stay for breakfast. They had a wonderful, wonderful time. The next morning she cooks a gourmet meal with all of the trimmings. The guy is amazed. Everything had been so incredible! ‘You know’ he said, ‘you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet?’ No, she replies ……... Wait for it …………..It’s coming ………………The suspense is killing you, isn’t it? ………………………..She says “you just happened to catch my eye.” |
