GOOD SAM MILITARY VETERANS OF IDAHO
As chartered by the International Good Sam Recreational Vehicle Club (hereafter known as CLUB) on August 15, 2006, this chapter is known as the Good Sam Military Veterans of Idaho (hereafter known as CHAPTER).
It is purpose of this CHAPTER to promote the use and enjoyment of recreational facilities and outdoor fellowship among members through trips and group activities. The CHAPTER is non-partisan, non-sectional, non-sectarian, and non-racial and is dedicated to bringing people together who are interested in the ideals and principals of the CLUB.
The CHAPTER is a statewide and at large chapter. Membership in the CHAPTER is limited to those individuals who are actively serving or who have been honorably discharged from any of the U. S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Military Transport Service, Reservist and National Guard members). All members must be in good standing with the CLUB.
The CHAPTER meets three (3) times a year. Our meetings are held during the three state functions (Spring Fling, Samboree, Fall Roundup). The Chapter presents and retires the colors during the state function, honorably retires our national flags that are no longer service able and makes donations to needy military families and the State Veterans Homes and Hospital.
CHAPTER campouts are held once a year either prior or immediately following a state function. The 2012 campout will be September 6 - 10, 2012, at the Farragut State Park. The campout will be in conjunction with the World War II Veterans Reunion.
If anyone would like more information or would like to join the CHAPTER, please contact either the State Director or the CHAPTER president.
