March 5, 2010
It is now 8:30am mountain time and I just got a call from one of our
supporters who said he had a meeting yesterday with Maxine Bell, one of
the co-chairs of JFAC. Her comment to him is that they had NOT received
enough comments from supporters of
State Parks to warrant any more money other than what the Governor had
requests.
This is urgents, we still have time to over the week-end to get the two
co-chairs of JFAC slammed with emails of support. PLEASE EVERYONE EMAIL
THE TWO FOLLOWING PEOPLE AND URGE THEM TO GIVE MORE MONEY FOR STATE
PARKS. From what I gather if enough people let them know how important
that this is, then we will get them more money. Call all your friends,
family, everyone you know and have them do the same. There is still
time but that is another thing we are running out of. TIME!!
Lets ALL get behind this and support them. Presidents, CALL every
member of your chapter and have them do this. It is very important to
not only us RV'ers but to the entire Recreational community, ie.
snowmobilers, 4-wheelers, boaters, fishermen and women.
If we lose State Parks EVERYONE loses.
Also for information, there is a new support group that has formed
called Friends of Idaho State Parks. It is a non-profit group and it is
on facebook with over 1,500 members and growing. I have taken the
liberty of giving the support of the Idaho Good Sam Organization or this
group. We need all the help we can get to keep State Parks funded
properly. Some of you might say I should not have done that, but we are
in desperate times and we need ALL the help we can get for State Parks,
The Heritage Foundation, the Nature Conversatory just to name two other
has also endorsed the Friends of Idaho State Parks. I have also been
asked to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for this group. It
is a non-profit group but anyone wishing to donate to them can do so and
it is tax deductable. For more information on this contact

For those in the Treasure Valley, if you are so inclined show up at the
Statehouse on Monday morning the 8th of March aty 8:00am for their
meeting and please wear your vests. Maybe if a bunch show up there it
might help a little.
Thank you very much.
